(1751 - 3 Dec 1821)
Heinrich Witmer in 1773 built a large addition for his father's home, and the home became "Witmer's Tavern-Historic 1725 Inn" at 2014 Old Philadelphia Pike. Then, in 1790 he bought part of his father's farm. In 1806 he sold two small parcels that became Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery. Around that time (one source gave 1805) Heinrich and Frances moved from Lancaster County, Pennsylvania to Washington County, Maryland, where he farmed along Beaver Creek and Conococheague Creek.
