Daniel Witmer
(1759 - 13 Jun 1819)
Daniel Witmer bought his brother's (John Witmer) brew house in Lancaster, Pennsylvania in 1782. In 1787, Daniel sold it to another brother, David. In 1806, Daniel Witmer purchased a three-story house on the south side of West King Street (in Lancaster or in Hagersotwn). Here, he opened an inn, named the Sign of the Lamb. Later in life, he moved to Hagerstown, Maryland.
