David Witmer
(15 Dec 1752 - 15 Aug 1835)
David Witmer was a founder of Paradise, Pennsylvania. He ran four mills, water, corn, merchant and saw, on Pequea Creek. He sold the land that became the Paradise Mennonite Meetinghouse in 1807. With his son, Henry, David published the Paradise Hornet newspaper. In 1818 he left the Mennonite Church and helped organize All Saints Episcopal Church in Paradise.
