I think Elizabeth was probably born in Maryland. Other genealogists had her husband born in Ireland, but I think that is probably a mistake (see my notes on Michael Pinkley). Another genealogist listed one of her brother's being born in Ireland (see my notes for John Reel) although their father was from Germany, their mother from Pennsylvania, and their eldest brother born in Virginia. I think in both cases there was a transcription error confusing the words Maryland and Ireland. At any rate, Michael supposedly fought in Maryland during the Revolution, so it would make sense if they were both from there.

Elizabeth shows up on the will as Michael's wife, but I don't know if Michael had previous wives. Elizabeth shows up as head-of-household on the 1830 census and was 60-70 at that time. If she was 65 in 1830, then she would have been 17 when Rachel was born and 39 when William was born.

For some reason, Linda Long had her birth down as 1776. but it looks to me like she would have to be older than that.
