Louis Lewis Ludwig Reel b abt1773 Joined the forces of Governor William Henry Harrison of Indiana Territory on Sept 26 1811 and marched to Prophetstown, They stopped near what is now Terre Haute Ind to build a Fort known as Fort Harrison .
Louis was a sentinal guarding outside and was wounded by indians on the night of
10-11-1811 He died on the 13th and was buried in front of the fort, General Harrison
and troops moved on to the Battle of Tippecanoe on Nov 7 1811
