Jacob Reel
(Abt 1760 - )
Notes imported from GEDCOM:
Notes for JACOB REEL:
BIRTH: Foreign born according to son, Jacob in the 1870 census -- believe that has proven to be incorrect.
BIRTH: Year of birth a guess; calculated from the fact that he was over 21 on the 1790 tax list, then compared with his ages
listed on census records. He was probably born in NC to Johann George Reel, Sr and his wife Catharina Schnepp. Their
known sons are George Jr, Daniel, Devauld/David, Godfrey, Jacob, Lewis, & John. Their sons Jacob, Lewis, & John
disappeared from Lincoln Co NC records at about the same time that Jacob, Lewis & John Reel appeared in Jefferson Co,
KY.
MARRIAGE: Bondsman was brother, Lewis (Ludwig) Reel; both signed with an x. Married by Henry Pottorf (Batdorf on
marriage record).
