In 1794, Benjamin Holtzclaw testified that his brother Henry, before moving to North Carolina, had sold his land to Martin Pickett. Fauquier Co. Misc. Records 1759-1807, p.60

Benjamin Holtzclaw was paid during the Revolution for supplies furnished the troops in Fauquier County. Moved to Lincoln County KY in 1804.
