Individual Details

Elizabeth "Betsy" Asbell

(Abt 1808 - Abt 1890)

Betsy Asbell married Sherod Baker, bond dated 27 Jan 1827, Madison Co KY. John Asbell was bondsman - probably her brother. Minister's return dated 30 Jan 1827.

In 1870, Elizabeth was living next door to Harriett who was the wife of Adam Howell. Living with their grandmother were M.J. (age 15) and Martha (age 10) Hindman, both listed as females. These would be the children of Elizabeth's daughter Sally and Cyrus Hindman. M.J. would seem to the age to be John Hindman, if his gender was an error.

In 1880, elderly William Ramey and Elizabeth Baker, age 70, mother of Nancy & Charlotte, lived with grandson William and Phobe Ramey Morton in Crawford Co AR.
