Jan. 5, 1761 Joseph Jackson of Chesterfield County, to William Jackson of Amelia, for £100, a certain tract of land of 177 acres in Amelia on the upper side of Flat Creek, which is part of the 354 acre tract of land whereon the said William Jackson now lives and which was patented to William Jackson dec’d, and it is the same land that the said Joseph Jackson purchased of Matthew Jackson, son and heir of William Jackson, dec’d, as per the said Joseph Jackson’s deed from the same Mathew Jackson recorded in Amelia on Mar 15, 1750. The land adjoins John Brown, Nicholas Hudson, James Chappel, Christopher Ford, Stewart Farley and the said William Jackson

Oct. 13, 1761 Isaac Jackson of Amelia, to David Greenhill & Thomas Hinton of Amelia, for £25, the following goods & chattels: 1 black mare I had of Francis Jackson, 1 rug, 5 bed blankets, 2 iron pots & hooks, 1 chest, 1 gun and all my household furniture upon the condition that if the said Isaac pays David Greenhill & Thomas Hinton the sum of £25 with lawful interest from the day and date above written til payment be made, then this document to be void.

Son Rowland Jackson, land purchased of John Brown whereon he now lives; also negro man Jo.
Son Josiah Jackson, land whereon he now lives, div. from my plant. By a branch that heads up near lower end of Simon Clemnt’s plant., down branch to a birch tree in William Jackson’s line on South side, Mayses Branch.

To each of my daus. Aforementioned, certain livestock

1776. Amelia Co. VA. Simon Clement appointed guardian of Francis Jackson, Jr. NOTE: I have not found this - the will and inventory are in the Will Book of Amelia - I found the Court Order, 27 Mar 1777, when the Inventory was presented to be recorded. There were no apparent court orders missing yet I did not find the recording of the will being accepted for probate and the order to take the inventory. The Amelia Co Court Orders were filmed somewhat out of order - perhaps a book had come apart and the pages sorted wrong.
