A marriage of a Daniel Cloud to Nancy Jennings, dau of Wm. on 17 Jan 1780, Shenandoah Co, VA. [William Cloud likely born before this marriage and no evidence this Daniel was in Virginia...]

There is also a 6 Feb 1792 marriage to Elizabeth Hampton, Frederick Co VA - which is apparently a different Daniel Cloud - wrong place and probably too late.

The will of his father implies Daniel was deceased by 1810, perhaps years earlier, leaving only a single child, William, since William was in the 1810 census as head of household. There is also no deed of land from the father to Daniel as there is for Joseph and James in 1794.

Care should be taken - there is a Daniel Cloud SR on FindAGrave who was born 8 Feb 1755, died 25 Feb 1815. He is buried Prospect Hill Cemetery, Front Royal, Warren Co VA - his stone was moved from a family cemetery at Willow Glen. Said to be the son of Henry Hayes Cloud and Eleanor Williams and was a Rev War soldier. His second wife was Elizabeth (Branson) Hampton, a widow - the above 6 Feb 1792 marriage is quoted for them.. The information on this Daniel Cloud is being added to the Daniel, son of Alice Hardin, on Ancestry, incorrectly. since their son was already deceased before 1810
