"Here Lies the Body of Mr. William Buel, on of the Fathers of the Town ...who was Gathered to his Fathers April the 7th 1763 in the 187th Year of his age."

Marker of Elizabeth Collier Buell:
"Here Lies the Body of Mrs. Elisabeth Buel wife of Mr. Wm. Buel, Daughter of Mr. Joseph Collier of Hartford ....fell asleep in Jesus Dec 7., 1729, aged 54 years."

William apparently married again after the death of Elizabeth. In the Old Cemetery, Lebanon, CT is the following:
"Here Lies the Body of Mrs. Martha Buell wife of William Buell who Departed this Life ....May the 6th A.D. 1751 in the 65th year of her life."
She was born 1696 and Elizabeth, first wife of William Buell had died in 1729 - he lived until 1763. It is likely Martha was the second wife.
The book on the Buell family states he married 23 Apr 1730 to Martha Smith, nee Martha Abell, at Lebanon.
William married a third time on 12 Nov 1751, at Stonington, to Mrs. Jerusha Dean, nee Jerusha Saxton..
