Four of Samuel's daughters married Porters. Three of them were brothers. Nathaniel Porter married Deborah Buell; Hezekiah Porter married Mary Buell; Joseph Porter married Hannah Buell. They were sons of John Porter and Mary Stanley. Mehitabel Buell married another Nathaniel Porter who was a "double first cousin" to the other three - her Nathaniel was the son of Samuel Porter, brother of John, and Hannah Stanley, sister of Mary.

The grandson, Nathaniel Porter named in Samuel Buell's will was apparently the son of Mehitabel.
