Mariam is said to be buried at Chestnut Creek Cemetery, Verbena. Some say born in South Carolina, some say Franklin Co, GA. She wasn't counted on the 1850 census, but she is in the Mortality Schedule. She died in Oct of 1849 in Autauga Co of bowel inflammation after an 8-day illness; she was age 50. Her year of birth is estimated. I have found no proof of her surname other than the family tradition.
