1880 census gave her age as 32, born in Arkansas with both her parents born in Georgia.

1900 census said Mary said born in AR; her father b. Georgia, her mother b. in NC.

According to information from Shirley Garrison, Mary was hit by a train and killed in March of 1912. She was hard of hearing and had on a bonnet and simply did not hear the train. She is said to be buried in the Crowder, Pittsburg Co OK cemetery.

McAlester, Okla., May 21--Mrs. P. B. P. Allen, a white woman was struck by a Missouri, Kansas and Texas freight train near Crowder and instantly killed.
