Many databases have this family unbelievable tangled. Andrew had a first cousin, of similar name, Andrew FOSTER Dunagan, born probably the same year. The cousin was the child of Ezekiel Jackson Dunagan and his wife Lydia Ann Brown. Andrew Foster Dunagan married Martha Angeline Watson and was still in Georgia in 1880.

Abner Dunagan left a will, Habersham Co WB 5, p.85; probated 22 Sep 1852. He was about 79 years old and left everything to his wife Delila then at her death, to be divided equally among his 5 sons and 5 daughters. Sons were Andrew, Thomas C., John B., and the heirs of Hiram and Joshua. Daughters were Sophia and McKeriah Underwood, and the heirs of Bethire Rush and Bathsheba Dunagan. [daughter Rebecca seems to have been omitted from the abstracted will information]
