Israel's parents and grandparents also lived in Hallsville, and were buried Red Top Cemetery. The relationship proved by Missouri death certificates. Israel's own death certificate stated his parents as Milton Stevinson and Edith Bruton, both born in Kentucky.

Israel's grandfather and father were still in Kentucky in 1850.

Mrs. Crotia Ann Hodge. Will. Isaac Stevinson, granted administration, 12 Sep 1865; final settlement, 6 Apr 1869. Bequests in the will mention sister, Lucinda Stevenson and brother-in-law Isaac Stevinson, as well as several of their children. Col. Zachariah Haggard's wife Zilphia name, but no relationship discernible from the abstract. Dr. Geo. O. Grave wrote the will of Mrs. Crotia Ann Hodge at the house of Mrs. E. Searce, who she also names in the will as a sister. Dated 2 Sep 1865. Depositions in Clark Co KY> Levi Thompson, Clark Co. KY was present at the house of Mrs. Elizabeth Searce.
Was this will written in Clark County? Zachariah and Zilpha were the parents of Alvin B. Haggard who married the young Crotia Stevinson.

I Israel B. Stevinson of Boone County, Missouri, being of sound and disposing mind and Memory to make and publish this my last Will and Testament.
First: It is my Will that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid as soon after my decease as practicable.
Second: All my real Estate I give and bequeath to my beloved Wife Mattie Stevinson, her her use and benefit during her natural life or as long as she remains my widow. At her death or marriage title of said real estate to pass to and be vested in my three Children, Namely, Charles N., Israel B. and Helen.
Third: I give and bequeath to my Nephew Israel G. Austin One Hundred Dollars ($100) in Cash.
Fourth: My Five (5) shares of stock in the Boone County Trust Company of Columbia, Mo., I give and bequeath to my two Sons, Charles N. and Israel B. with the provision that none of the Shares be sold until both sons above named have reached the Age of Twenty-one (21) years.
Fifth: The balance of my personal property I want divided among my Three Children above named share and share alike, should any one of my children be a Minor at my death, I appoint my wife, if living, as their Curator without bond.
Sixth: I appoint as executor of this Will S. M. Stevinson Jr. and D. B. Carpenter.

Israel B. Stevinson of Rocky Fork, Boone Co, MO died 6 Oct 1910, of simple starvation, and delusional insanity. His birth listed as 1 Oct 1859, Boone Co. He was married and a farmer. Parents were listed as Milton Stevinson and Edith Bruton, both born in Kentucky. R. F. Hulet of Hallsville was the informant. He was buried Red Top Cemetery, October 8th.

There is a death certificate for Samuel Milton Stevinson, b. 30 Jan 1826 and died 11 Aug 1912 at age 86y 7m 10d. He was a retired farmer and died of the infirmities of age; he was widowed. His father was Isaac Stevinson; his mother Lucinda Thomson, both born in Kentucky. R. S. Austin of Hallsville was the informant.

Other children of Samuel Milton & Edith were found in the death certificates.

Leslie Combs Stevinson, died in Centralia, MO, at the Way Nursing Home; his usual residence was Hallsville. He was widowed, a barber. born 30 Sep 1874, died 24 Mar 1954 of pulmonary edema and heart disease. Miss Jennie Carpenter of Centralia was the informant - perhaps an employee of the nursing home. His father was Samuel M. Stevinson; his mother Edith Anderson Braton. Buried on March 26gth at Red Top Cemetery.

Lee Brown Stevinson died at Parker Hospital, Columbia. He was married; wife's name was Dora. Born 29 Apr 1872, Lee died on 28 Oct 1936, age 64y 5m 29d. He was retired. He had meningitis, acute, Pneumoccocial Infection, Secondaary to a left mastoiditis.
Parents were S. M. Stevinson and Edith Bruton, both born in Kentucky. Mrs. James E. Bush of Tulsa was the informant. Buried Red Top Cemetery on the 29th of October.

Crotia Stevenson married 27 Feb 1868, Hallsville, Boone Co, to Alvin Barlet Haggard, son of Zachariah Elkin Haggard and Zilpha Hodge. The Haggards were distant cousins of the Haggards who intermarried with my families in Crawford Co, AR.
