Maude had also been married three times. Her occupation listed as housekeeper. Her father was William B. Fisher, born in Missouri; her mother was Margaret McDonald, born in Vermont.

John T. Stevenson died at the Dameron Hospital, Stockton, San Joaquin Co, on 12 Dec 1933 of heart disease. He was widowed from the late Ella Stevenson and was a retired deputy sheriff. He was born 5 Aug 1853 in Missouri. His father was Milton Stevenson; his mother Edith Burton, both born in Kentucky. He had lived at his residence, 121 S. Sutter in Stockton for 3 years; had been in California for 50 years. M. A. Stevenson of 121 S. Sutter was the informant. Buried Rural Cemetey, on Dec 14th.

John T. Stevenson, Former San Joaquin Deputy Sheriff Dies at Hospital
John T. Stevenson, for 10 years deputy sheriff during the term of William H. Riecks as sheriff, died today at Dameron Hospital, where he had been taken yesterday by his son, M. A. stevenson. He had been ill two weeks.
....Stevenson was born more than 80 years ago in Missouri. He came to California when 21 years of age and practically 50 years of his life in California had been devoted to the dutires of police officer. When he first came to California he settled at Hills Ferry on the San Joaquin River, near Newman. He had lived in Stockton 40 years and is widely know here and highly regarded.

He was the father of Mrs. J. L. Aratta and M. A. Stevenson, both of Stockton, and C. T. Stevenson of Honolulu. He was the grandfather of Harold Gofield, Stockton; Mrs. G. H. Taylor of New York, Mrs. B. W. Kaskel and Gladys Brey of San francisco, Campbell Stevenson and Lois Stevenson of Honolulu, and the great-grandfather of Gerald Brey, Jr. of Los Angeles.

Services Set for Mrs. Margaret Aratta
Mrs. Margaret E. Aratta, 68, wife of Jon L. Aratta of 1725 S. Stanislaus, will be buried here Saturday at 2 pm after services in the Chapel of the Palms. She died in Good Samaritan Hospital, Los Angeles, Monday.
In the south recovering from an extended illness, Mrs. Aratta was taken to a hospital a week before her death, following a relapse.
Born in Stockton, her father was John T. stevenson, a sheriff's deputy for a number of years. She was a sister of the late Milton A. Stevenson, also a deputy sheriff, and Clarence to. Stevenson, who served in the US Narcotics Burear and who, at the time of his death, was warden of the Hawaian Penitentiary.
Surviving, besides her husband, are a daughter, Mrs. Herbie Taylor and a grandson, Lee Taylor, of Beverly Hills; and a son, Harold Gofield, of Stockton.
