Manerva GOODMAN

(Ca 1806 - )

Possible daughter of Abraham - she would fit in the family nicely, as in 1820 Abraham had three daughters between the ages of 10-16. Her birth year is based on the 1850 census.

Manervi Goodman married Wilson Parks, 25 Oct 1821, Maury Co.

1830 Census. Hosea Goodman was in Montgomery Co, Illinois, Minerva Parks, widow, next door to him. Abisha was in Fayette Co, IL.
Minerva had two males under age 5, one female age 5-10, and herself age 20-30 [born between 1800 and 1810]

By 1850, Manerva had married John Crouch. She is found with him in Jackson Co, IL. John Croutch was age 36, a blacksmith, b. in PA. Minerva was age 46, b. NC. John Parks, age 17, b. TN, was in the household. Also Amanda Deckan, age 7, b. IL

Jno. Crouch, age 50. a Smith, b. TN. Minerva gave her age as 48, b. TN. Lafe Goodman, age 14, born in Illinois lived with them.
John Parks had married Mary Jane Rust, 7 Feb 1852, in Jackson Co, IL and they were also in Williamson Co, IL, Sulphur Springs, Hh 2004:

Sandee H has left a new comment on your post "Which Goodman Family?" (my Blog)
Here's my Goodmans who fit in your list:
Hardin Goodman, born 1780 in VA is in Montgomery County, Illinois 1830 census. In Williamson County, Illinois 1850 census and gone thereafter.
Hosea Goodman is in 1830 census Montgomery County, Illinois and 1839 buys land in Shelby County, Illinois. By 1850 he is in Graves County, Kentucky.
Also on 1830 Montgomery County, Illinois census listed together are: Hardin, Hosea, Lemuel and Washington Goodman together with Minerva Parks.
Minerva is my direct ancestor and believe her to have married Wilson Parks in Maury County, TN in 1821. In 1830 she is head of household with 3 children, 2 males under 5 and 1 female 5-10.
Minerva's son John Parks married Mary Jane Rust in 1852 Jackson County, Illinois. On 1850 census Minerva is living in Jackson County, Illinois with John Croutch (sic) Crouch and son John who is listed as age 17 but actually is 19/20.
Not sure where all were in 1840.
There are direct ties between Goodmans, Rusts, Troutman, Middleton, and Drew families in Maury, TN, Graves, KY and Williamson, IL.
