Lemuel Oliver GOODMAN

(1813 - 10 Apr 1874)

Lemuel married Catherine Middleton.

In 1830, there is an L. Goodman in Montgomery Co [indexed as Tazewell on Ancestry] Illinois. He was living near Hosea and other Goodmans.
L. Goodman: 1m -5, 1m 20-30, 1f 20-30

Said to be on Tax lists, Wayne Co, TN. IN 1836 he was listed along with brother Abisha; in 1838, he was by himself.

1840 Census. Wayne Co TN
Lemuel Goodman: 1m under 5, 1m 5-10, 1m 20-30. 1f under 5, 1f 20-30, 1f 50-60 [possibly Lemuel's mother Nancy?]

Also living in Wayne Co in 1840 was a Jesse Goodman, he was age 20-30, with a male child under 5, a male age 5-10, a female under 5, 1f 5-10, 1f 15-20, 1f 20-30. Perhaps he has been "assumed" by some to be Lemuel's brother. They did not live next to each other. Jesse was counted next to John Hargraves - probably Mahala Goodman Bates' second husband.
