William Brethed, 300 acres below the north fork of Sidling Hill Creek including Hickory Bottoms. #3314,
"of Franklin County PA" It's very doubful he was born in Scotland if his parents married after coming to this country, although many databases claim he was born in Scotland.
This deed links all the families together - Blakey, Breathitt, Stockton, Whitsitt, before any of them left Henry Co Virginia for Kentucky.

p.114 23 Sep 1790 Elanor Whisitt, wife William, relinquished dower of deed to Benjamin Jones.
Lived in Henry County VA at time of marriage. 1793 went to Campbell County, VA. By 1795 purchased land warrants in Maury County TN. In 1800 sold that tract to his brother-in-law, James Whitsitt and moved to Russellville, KY. On Tax List, Logan Co KY for 1800.

Know all men by these presents that I William Breathit of the County of Christian & State of Kentucky have for divers good Causes to me appearing Constituted & appointed & by these presents do make ordain Constitute & appoint Ranay Breathed of the County of Bedford & State of Pennsylvania my true and Lawfull attorney for me and my name, to do every thing in every and any respect whatever relating to the Estate of Edward Breathed Deceased of Washington County State of Maryland, of which Estate I am one of the Heirs To make deeds of all Lands Pertaining to the Said Estate Lying either in Pennsylvania, Maryland, or Virginia to Frances Breathed of Washington County State of Maryland with the sd Edward Breathed was of right Seizen of or at least to as much thereof as the one Tenth part being the part of which I am entitled to. Empowering Sd Breathed to act with as full power & authority pertaining to the premises or any other requisite from agreement whatever that would be required of me as if I was personally to act myself ratifying & confirming whatever he may relative to the premises In writing whereof I have hereunto Set my hand & Seal this 14th day of August 1805.
