Jeremiah Dexter
(1730 - Bef 1825)
Jeremiah Dexter, third son of Stephen Dexter, died many years before his nephew Moses Dexter. Moses had inherited the estate of Stephen Dexter through primogeniture but died without heirs in 1825, the estate descending to his cousins, etc.
Jeremiah had eight children, four of whom died during the lifetime of Moses without issue. Four were suviving in 1825 to share in the estate: Stephen, Edward, Susan Ann, and Freelove.
Dexter GenealogyI gives the wife of Jeremiah Dexter as Prudence, daughter of John Kimball of Smithfield and lists nine children.
