Christopher died many years before the death of his nephew Moses Dexter, who had inherited Christopher's father's estate through primogeniture. Moses died intestate so a portion of the estate descended to Chritopher's children.

Christopher is shown as married to Pricilla Carperter of Cumberland, RI. The book Dexter Genealogy seems to be less than accurate, especially concerning names of the wives.

Christopher's children were William, Abigail, Amey, Hetty, Alice, Lydia, Ada, and Waite, all who survived Moses to inherit. Another son, Lewis, had died but had living issue.

It's interesting that Dexter Genealogy gives a slight different list of eleven children. Amey, b. 1750, married Isaac Brown
