David married Charity Boon, daughter of Ratcliff and Ruth Boon. By 1784 they were in Pendleton District, SC; in 1803 Christian Co KY, and then moved to Weakley Co TN in 1808. [Note: Weakley Co TN was not formed out of the Indian lands until 1823.]

3 Dec 1840, Charity Clark, living in Graves Co KY, applied for her widow's pension for David Clark's Revolutionary Service. David entered the service in 1776 in Surry Co NC as a volunteer under Capt. Wm. Shepherd and fought at Cross Creek. Served another tour early in 1777 at the Forks of the Yadkin along with his brother Jonathan. In 1778 he married Charity Boon in Surry Co NC and hired a substitute for about five or six months. He then served to the end of the War. They moved to Pendleton District SC where they lived about 10 years; then they lived about five or six years in Christian Co KY and then moved to Weakley Co TN. David died 15 Aug 1825. Charity Clark now resides in Graves Co with her son.
11 Dec 1840. Deposition of Jonathan Clark, of Christian Co KY, age 81, in support of his brother's widow's application. In 1778 David Clark married Charity Boon in Surry Co NC. He testified to the places that had since lived.
30 Dec 1840. Deposition of David Clark, 7th child of David & Charity Boone, age 47. Testified his mother was living with him.
12 Jul 1841 Deposition of Joseph Clark, age 71 years, of Christian Co KY. Stated he was the youngest brother of David Clark and remembered his Revolutionary service.
31 Jul 1841. Depostion of David Clark of Graves Co KY and William Clark, aged 50. Both sons of Charity Clark, testified she lived with David.
