Lucinda Haden

(1815 - 29 Jul 1855)

Married (1) Leppard (2) Brown and (3) Rice. Lucinda had at least one son, Robert, by her first husband because he's named in the will of aunt Elizabeth Haden Pinkston. However, it seems Robert may not have been a Leppard - the estate settlement of Lucinda's second husband and census records given him the name Robert A. Strange and Robert A. Brown. It's possible he was the son of a man never married to Lucinda, conceived between the death of Charles Leppard and the marriage to Littleton Brown.

Looking for info on Littleton Brown s/o Charles Brown & Seythe Thomas, married Lucinda Haden (Hadin) d/o Jesse Haden & Rosanna Sloan and was the widow of Charles F Leopard. Charles & Lucinda had 1 daughter Louiza who died Aug 1846. Littleton b abt 1810 d 10-2-1847 & Lucinda b abt 1813 & d 7-27-1855, they had Sarah Ann Elizabeth abt 1840, Charles b 1844 d 11-12-1850, Robert & Jane V Brown b 4-7-1848 & d 8-8-1938. We have info on all but Robert Brown. Robert & Jane were considered orphans around 1848 and for sure 1855 when Lucinda dies. We are pretty sure that Robert fought in Confederate War. Nor sure where but we found a Robert G Brown in Company # 12th Regiment of NC Troops,
"The Cleveland Guards", 2nd Regiment of NC Volunteers>
Would love info on Robert Brown born abt 1846. When Littleton died Robert would only be about 2 and when Lucinda dies he would only been about 9. Where did he go? NOTE: this is Robert Lippard/Strange/Brown born about 1837.
