Individual Details

Enos ADAMSON

(Abt 1761 - )

Found in the 1790 Stokes Co NC Census. He was in Salisbury District with 3 females, 2 males under 16 years. He was enumerated next to brother Jesse.

Enos was a witness to Thomas Adamson's will in 1812 in Jefferson Co TN.

An Enos Adamson came from Lost Creek MM to Newberry MM in 1819 and to Springfield, IN in 1821. [These records are more likely in reference to Enos, son of John N. and not this older Enos. Lost Creek Quaker Records, Jefferson Co TN, refer to Enos, son of John, born 6 Feb 1793.]

Katie:
I can tell you one......of Enos ADAMSON's children: Don't have a sibling
of his but this is my connection.
Samuel b 1785 md Naomi Lamb dau of Henry Lamb and Ann Dennis. (you don't have Naomi listed on your site as their daughter................).
There is quite a lot, I am sending what is revelant to your question by
tying Enos Adamson to Thomas Lamb Sr. and my Samuel and Naomi all
together.

This info from A Bit of History, related by Mary Ann Roe, (ne Lamb) while
she was visiting with B.B. Beeson, October 17, 1899. At the end of this
typed page it states....

The relator, Mary Ann Roe is the only one now living of Thomas Lamb Sr.'s
children.
She states the following:
Thomas Lamb Sr. was born in Randolph County,NC and lived on the same farm until he moved to Indiana in 1836. He married Enos ADAMSON's daughter in NC. Her mother's name was Mary LOVE before marying Adamson. Will ADAMSONs grandfather was a brother of the above mentioned ENOS ADAMSON. (here's a hint!)
There's a lot of other names etc. not revelant to this question on Enos
ADAMSON, then she states: The before mentioned Thomas Lamb Sr. had brothers and sisters as follows:
Joseph who md Lydia Adamson, Edward md Susan/Susanna Adamson , Enoh (?) md a sister of Thomas Lamb's wife (Amasa) Delilah married Harmon Vickery, Naomi married Samuel Adamson, Elizabeth md John Swin/Swaim, Susannah married Daniel Swim (Johns brother).
She states the Lambs were friends -Quakers, some preachers, describes
physical appearance of both sides, states the Adamson's were not -family
(not Quakers) had no slaves-some set them free.
Sorry nothing on siblings of Enos ADAMSON, but thought this might help
someone
This paper lists mostly Lamb and their relations etc.
Happy to share what I have
