Deed Book M, p.46 25 Aug 1823. Elijah Morton traded several lots in Town including a tavern with large brick stable to John G. Stewart for $1 and for 640 acres in the Territory of Arkansas on the North side of the Arkansas River including the bluffs known as the little Red Bluffs.
