In 1900, "Ettie" stated that she'd had 3 children, all living. That would be 2 by Jesse Ewing and the daughter Mabel whose surname is Burchfield, listed as stepdaughter. But that doesn't explain Ada Mae Burchfield Riddle whose Social Security Application gives Ettie Wood & Tommy Burchfield as her parents and her date of birth as 12 Jul 1889. The marriage record of Antionette "Ettie" Wood and Burchfield, gives his name as James T. Where was Ada in 1900? Mabel was with Ettie.

UNIONTOWN
Mrs. Port Ewing who was formerly a citizen of this place but had moved to Joplin, Missouri, died Tuesday, April 11th, at the home of her parents, Mr. & Mrs. J. C. Wood of Van Buren. The body was brought to Uniontown Wednesday evening where funeral services were conducted by Rev. G. G. Alexander after which interment was made in the Uniontown Cemetery. She leaves a husband, eight children, a mother and father, two brothers and five sisters to mourn her departure.
History in Headstones does not have a listing for Antoinette in the Uniontown Cemetery.

In 1930, I found Marvin and his family living in Joplin, Jasper Co MO. I did find a death certificate for Jesse - he died 1931 in Joplin. FindAGrave shows he is buried Forest Park Cemetery, Joplin, Jasper co MO. Jesse Porter, born 10 Jun 1866, Greene Co MO - died 1 Oct 1931 in Joplin.
