Madison County Marriages 1786-1822, Bill & Kathy Vockery
Thomas Wood was bondsman for the marriage of Audley Campbell to Hannah McSwain, bond dated 1 Apr 1811. Thomas McSwain, father of the bride, gave consent.
Note: There is no record for the marriage of Thomas and Agnes Kinkaid in this book.

There is a marriage record in Virginia Compiled Marriages, 1740-1850 (and for West Virginia). Thos. Wood married Agness Kinkade, 5 Oct 1802, Monroe, Virginia (which became West Virginia). Monroe was created out of Greenbrier Co, 1799. A History of Monroe, West Virginia, digitized on Ancestry reveals that a Wood family was there at Fort Henry as early as 1644. This date seems a bit early for this couple in Madison Co, but of course dates are estimated in Madison Co. However, the bondsman was John Kincaid.

A Thomas Wood is in Madison Co in 1810: 2 males under 10, 2 males 16-26. 1 female under 10. 1 female 10-16, 1 female 26-45.
The census is "alpha" - other Woods on this page, were Samuel, age 16-26, Wiley, age 26-45
