Junius F. Thomas, Minor. William A. Thomas by his attorney filled a petition. Junius F. Thomas is a minor under the age of 14 and now a resident of Dallas Co and has property in NC consisting of slaves and money from the sale of lands devised to him by his father, Nathaniel P. Thomas, late of Caswell Co NC, amounting to about the sum of $10, 000. Request to appoint Philip H. Thomas of Dallas Co AR guardian of sd Junius F. Thomas. Bond of $20,000 with Nathaniel W. Richmond, George W. Taylor, Peter Rounsaville and William A. Thomas securities. Ordered that certificate of guardianship be awarded Philip H. Thomas.

In 1853, the 500 acre tract in Caswell Co NC, left to Junius in the will of his father was sold to Joel Brown Walters for $4630. Walters named the tract "North Bend" and lived there for the rest of his life, until 1893. Joel was a first cousin of Junius's mother Rebecca.
