James McGill Kirkpatrick was born 19 September 1892 and died 16* June 1970. On 27 October 1935 he married Flora Hooten of Woodbury, Meriwether County, Georgia, who died 10 December 1969. Both are buried in Park Hill Cemetery, Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia.

Son of the late John Henry Kirkpatrick, he was born Sept. 19, 1892 in Fort Long, S. C. Mr. Kirkpatrick had lived in Columbus for the past 27 years and was a member of the First Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Eleanor K. Law, Columbus; a son, James M. Kirkpatrick, Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; two sisters, Mrs. W. G. Anderson, Chester, S. C., and Mrs. Earnest Crosby, Fort Long, S. C.; two brothers, Joe G. Kirkpatrick, Fort long, and D. A. Kirkpatrick, Bishopville, S. C.; four grandsons and several nieces and nephews.
