Lois Kirkpatrick was born 19 December 1900. On 15 November 1924 she married Sam John Brogdon of Alcolu, Clarendon County, South Carolina. He died 15 May 1965.

Born in Chester county she was a daughter of the late William Isaac and Martha Kazier Hafner Kirkpatrick. She was a member of Graham Baptist Church. Surviving are a son, John K. Brogdon of Alcolu; a daughter, Mrs. Joe (Rebecca) Davis of Jackson, Tenn.; two brothers, G. M. Kirkpatrick of Taylorsville, N. C., and C. H. Kirkpatrick of Salisbury, N. C.; four grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Services will be held at 3 p.m. today at Stephens Funeral Home, with burial in Manning Cemetery. The family suggests that those who wish may make memorials to the Connie Maxwell Orphanage, Greenwood.
