Born in Rewey, he had been a resident of Ridgeway for 10 years and had been an employee of the Watson Construction Co. of Barneveld.

He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Gerry, at home, and June, Madison; four sisters, Mrs. Louis Christensen and Mrs. Amy Nevlin, of Los Angeles, Mrs. Donald Gard, Platteville, and Frances Carpenter, Rewey; his mother, Mrs. Nellie Carpenter, Rewey, and two brothers, Clyde, Blue River, and Archie, Rewey.

The body was taken to the Ayers funeral home, where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday. Later services will be held at 1:30 pm. at Grace Methodist church. the Rev. D. H. LaVinn, pastor, will officiate and burial will be in a cemetery at Arthur.
