Richmond County Daily Journal, Rockingham, North Carolina, Thursday, July 3, 2003: Martha Lunette Carter McCaston, 73, of Rock Hill, died Saturday, June 21, 2003. A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Monday, June 23 from Eastside Baptist Church. Internment followed in Grandview Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Eastside Baptist Church, Building Fund, 317 North Jones Ave., Rock Hill, S.C. 29730. A native of Chester, Mrs. McCaston was a daughter of the late David Lee Carter and the late Mattie Allen Carter. She was a retiree of Rock Hill Printing and Finishing with 30 years of service. She was a member of Eastside Baptist Church and a Pink Lady volunteer at Piedmont Medical Center.
Surviving are her husband, Thomas E. "Totsi" McCaston Sr. of the home; a son, Thomas "Tommy" E. McCaston Jr. of Rock Hill; three daughters, Anne McCaston Ballard of Rock Hill, Barbara McCaston Moore of Cheraw, and Renee McCaston Mobley of Chinquapin, N.C; a brother, Lex Carter of Rock Hill; two sisters, Minnie Carter Lee and Helen Carter Yarborough of Chester; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Arrangements were entrusted to Greene Funeral Home.
