"Cotton" Todd, 53, year old former resident, died Wednesday at the St. Elizabeth Hospital in Granite City, Ill. from a diabetic coma. He had been ill since Saturday. His home was at Madison, Ill. He was born October 2, 1906 [1901] in Poplar Bluff and on December 18, 1942 he was married to Irene Derrington in St. Louis. Surviving are the widow; one brother, Walter Todd of Wappapello and three sisters, Mrs. Irene Bilbrey, Poplar Bluff, Mrs. Frances Talcott of Madison, Ill., and Mrs. Birdie Mae Collins of Granite City. The body was returned here to the Frank-Cotrell Chapel where funeral services will be conducted at 2 tomorrow with the Rev. Chester B. Pillow officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
