Kirkpatrick, aged 74 years, beloved husband of Mrs. Callie Kirkpatrick, father of Mrs. J. H. Patton and Mrs. D. B. O'Neill of San Bernardino, Mrs. Raymond Cree of Palm Springs; Wert Kirkpatrick of Whittier; F. M. and Leonard Kirkpatrick of Ethanac; T. A. Kirkpatrick of Escondido and Mrs. D. F. Velzy of Riverside; and brother of C. M. Kirkpatrick of West Riverside and Mrs. J. B. Teel of Long Beach. The memorial services will be conducted only at the grave in Evergreen cemetery at 2:00 o'clock, Tuesday afternoon, December 4; Rev. Findley, Officiating. Amstutz, Glen and Preston, directors.

Kirkpatrick will be held at Evergreen cemetery Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock. Rev. Mr. Findley of Long Beach, a close friend of the family, will have charge of the services. There will be no service at the undertaking parlors. Mrs. Kirkpatrick passed away Sunday morning, December 2, at the age of 74 years. For the past forty years he had been a valued resident of Riverside county, dividing his time between the city of Riverside and his ranch at Menifee.
He was born in Gainsborough, Tenn., where he lived until his marriage to Miss Callie Capten of Union City, Tenn., in 1871. Later Mr. and Mrs. Kirkpatrick removed to California, where they lived for a few years in Garden Grove, later coming to Riverside county, where they located in the Menifee valley.
Mr. Kirkpatrick is survived by his widow and nine grown children, all of whom live in this section of the country. Mr. Kirkpatrick is the first member of the large family to pass away. Death came to him at the home of his nurse, Miss Marcia R. Peckens of 376 East Fifth street, where he and Mrs. Kirkpatrick had made their for the past few months. He had been in failing health for the past two years.
Close members of the family who survive the pioneer and his widow, a sister, Mrs. J. B. Teel of Long Beach; a brother, C. M. Kirkpatrick of Riverside; four daughters, Mrs. Jennie K. Velzy of Riverside; Mrs. Betty K. Cree of Palm Springs; Mrs. Mary O'Neill of San Bernardino, and Mrs. Lulu Patton of San Bernardino, and five sons, R. H. Kirkpatrick of Elsinore; Felix and Leonard Kirkpatrick of Menifee; Wert Kirkpatrick of Whittier and Floyd Kirkpatrick of Oceanside.
