Amos G. Kirkpatrick

(4 Apr 1858 - 4 Dec 1909)

Riverside Daily Press, Riverside, California, Saturday, December 4, 1909, Page 5: Passing Of Pioneer of Riverside County. Amos G. Kirkpatrick, a well known rancher of Menifee and one of the pioneers of Riverside county, died at the city hospital at 12:45 last night from an organic disease from which he had been suffering for some time. The deceased was a native of Tennessee, coming to this section thirty five years ago. For the past twenty years he farmed extensively at Menifee. He had been a sufferer for the past six years from an insidious disease and last Tuesday he was operated on at the hospital by two physicians from Los Angeles. This proved unavailing, however, and death was not unexpected. Mr. Kirkpatrick was unmarried and was a man of sterling character, esteemed by all who knew him. A number of years ago he affiliated himself with the Christian church. Funeral services will be held at the home of W. T. Kirkpatrick, brother of the deceased, at 2 p.m. on Sunday.
