Edward went through college with a limp, and used a cane as a result of a fall from a cherry tree in his back yard where he broke his hip. He used a cane throughout life. Elizabeth Albright has the cane he had in college with a silver piece on the end with "State '98" inscribed.Census

Death
Cause of death was Coronary Occlusion with hypertensive heart disease.Edward H Myers, 64 years, 10 months, and 14 days old died at his home in Boalsburg in Boalsburg of a heart attack at 7 o'clock this morning.
He was born on January 22, 1876 at Boalsburg, the son of Wesley and Elizabeth Heintzeman Myers, both deceased.
Mr Myers married the former Virginia Myers o June 12, 1900. His wife survives him along with two daughters. Mrs. Loy Whitekettle of New port, Pa.,and Mrs Richard Goheen of Indiana, Pa.
He was a member of the Boalsburg Reformed Church and a graduate of the ollege in class of 1897.
Mr Myers taught at Bellefonte Academy for six years, at Hazleton one year, at McKeesport two and a half years, and at the Newark, N.J. high school for 28 ears. He retired from teaching in 1936.
At the time of his death Mr Myers was secretary of Harris township.
Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at his late home in Boalsburg. Rev. T G Jones will officiate. Interment will made at the Boalsburg Cemetery.
