This indenture made the thirtieth day of March 1856 of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and fifty six, between Robert Glenn of Ferguson township Centre County and state of Pennsylvania and Nancy his wife of the one part and John Goheen of the said township of the other part.Witnessth that the said Robert Glenn and Nancy his wife, for and in consideration of the sum of four hundred and fifty three dollars and four cents to them in hand paid by the said John Goheen at and before the sealing and delivery hereof the receipt where of they do hereby in knowledge and thereof recipe and forever discharge the said John Goheen his heirs executors and administrators by this presents hereon granted, bargained, sold aligned, enpeoffed, released, and confirmed, and by these presents do grant, bargain, sale, alice, enfoff, release and confirm unto the said John Goheen, and to his heirs and assigns, all that continue message and tract of land in Ferguson township aforesaid, bounded and described as follows. Viz.
Beginning at stones thence by land of Thomas Mays, south fifty nine degrees West fifty nine perches to a pine, thence north fifty two degrees west three perches to stones, thence south fifty eight and a half degrees west two perches to stones, thence by land of Lyon Shorb south twenty eight and a half degrees east forty eight and a fourth perches to stones, thense north fifty nine degrees east seventy-one perches to the place of Beginning. containing twenty acres and ninety five perches street measure.

Item, I give divest and bequeath to my beloved wife Eliza Jane the use of my house ... lot in Pine ... clearing not ... Life as long as she remains my Widow, but if at any time she should ... is said ... house my said .. executor should sell it ... She shall have the interests ... shall accrue upon ... of it arising her life or widowhood aforesaid. And I further direct that she shall ... the use of all my ... ... and have use of ... after accepted, during her life or widowhood aforesaid and one bedstead and bed couch bedding of her own choose absolute and She shall also have one cow, two pigs with what corn shall be upon ... at the time of my decease, and this ... should ... cow, ... upon ..., and hay fork.
Item, I give direct and bequeath to my son Joseph, my best over coat, drip coat, vest and pantaloons and one Mahogany box and also my family Bible.
Item, I give divest and bequeath to my daughter Elizabeth, one good bedstead, bed and bedding to be selected by my Mother.
I order and direct that all the following parts of household and Kitchen furniture with all my personal estate, not here before bequeathed to my friends shall be sold by my said executor Viz. My Walnut Desk and bookcase, with all my family books which my wife may not choose to keep, one sette, a;; the chairs in the house after My Wife shall close one dozen, and two rocking chairs one of them a small one, and one wash stand one swash stand, one small bed ad bedding one trunk and one clock.
I order and direct, that if my brothers Robert and John Goheen shall choose to pay that part or parts of my just debts, which my personal estate shall be encumber to discharge, such payments and interest shall be accrued by my father until such time as they may choose to collect it.
And lastly I do hereby nominate, constitute and appoint my esteemed friend John B. Mitchell, to be the executor of this last will and testament. Hereby revoke all other wills here fore by me made, and satisfying and commencing this deed no other to be my last will and testament.
In witness whose I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 19 day of December AD one thousand eight hundred and fifty six.

Obituary: Died - On the 2d day of Jan in Pine Grove, Centre County, Pa, Mr David R Goheen, in the 47th year of his age.
Mr Goheen was at the tine of his death a member of the Presbyterian Church. ... He was the subject of protracted and severe affliction. For more than two years he was confined to his room, during which tine his bodily sufferings were frequently extremely intense ... His end was calm and peaceful ... He has left many relatives a deeply afflicted widow, and four interesting children, to mourn their loss.

In the name of God, Amen.
I John J Goheen, of Township of Ferguson, County of Centre and Stare of Pennsylvania, being of sound mind memory and understanding do make and publish this my last will and testament, hereby revoking and making void all former wills by me at any time heretofore made.
First:- I direct that all my just debts and funeral expenses be first paid out of my estate by my executors hereinafter reguard as soon as conentiently can be after my decease.
Second:- I direct that all notes except a certain one hereinafter mentioned, accounts, and all debts due me be collected by my executors and a my personal property be sold and disposed of at once after by decease and as I have given to all of my children sums of money of different amounts without interest to wit: J Milliken, Nine Hundred Forty Dollars, Jennie one Hundred Eleven Dollars, Ellie M. Two Hundred Eleven Dollars, Belle, Eighty Dollars, J. Mack, Two Hundred Seventy-eight Dollars, J. Calvin, One Hundred Eighty-five Dollars, Robert G, One Hundred Seventy-five Dollars. Harry B, One Hundred Twenty-five Dollars, Arthur O. Ninety Dollars for schooling and other purposes. I direct my executors to have appraised these different amounts and consider same as a part of my personal Estate and these amounts Together with any other money that I may have at the time of my death and the money collected on notes and accounts and the money realized form sale of my personal property be added together and the total amount of these to be divided equally among the following named children and grandchild, to wit, J Milike, Jennie, Ellie M., Annie, Belle, J. Calvin, J. Mack, Harry B. Robert G. and my granddaughter Isabelle, daughter of my deceased son Arthur, or should any of named children be deceased at the time of my decease but leaving children, then said children to receive the share their parent would have received had they been living, but should any of the above named children be dead leaving no children, then said share is to be divided among the survivors of said named children and grandchild equally and the different amounts which I have advance to my children be considered as part of their share of said amount and should the amount that I have advanced to any child be greater than the share of any such child, then such child is to pay to my executors my such excess.

to my son Harry B and my daughter Belle a period of two years after my decease in which to pay a certain note which I not hold against them for One Thousand Dollars dated April 1st 1892 and due one day after date.
Fourth:- I direct my executors to make either public or private sale of all of my real estate at any time after my decease that they may think right and proper, and to make, execute and deliver to the purchaser or purchasers thereof proper deed or deeds of conveyance and the money realized from the sale of said real estate to be distributed and divided as follows To thousand of said money to be and remain in and as a lien upon the farm which - insurance and occupy and the final interest - purchasers thereof to execute and deliver to the committee of my said daughter Jennie, a good and sufficient bond and mortgage for the proper securing the payment of said sum of Two thousand Dollars and the interest on said sum at six percent to be paid annually by the purchaser or purchasers of said farm to the committee of my said daughter Jennie, for the use of said daughter so long as, she shall live and at her death, I give devise and bequeath the said sum of Two thousand Dollars to the brothers and sisters of my said daughter Jennie that my be living at the time of her death.
Fifth:- I give and bequeath to my daughter Bella the sum of Five Hundred Dollars, to be paid her out of the proceeds of the sale of said farm. All the remaining residue of the money realized from the said of my real estate, I direct shall be divided equally among my with children and grandchild to wit: J. Milliken, Ellie M, Annie, Belle, J. Calvin, J. Mack, Harry B. Robert G. and Isabelle, daughter of my deceased son Arthur, as to their children an the same manner as the money realized from the personal property.
Sixth:- I hereby constitute and appoint my son Harry B. committee of my said daughter Jennie and all her part or share of my estate to be controlled by him, He to use the income arising from said share in keeping and maintaining said daughter and if necessary he to use part as all of the principal in her keeping and what remains at her death to be divided the same as the Two thousand Dollars above mentioned.
Seventh:- I hereby constitute and appoint my sons J. Calvin, J. Mack, Harry B. ... Belle executors of this my last will and testament.
In witness whereof. I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 20th day of February A. D. Eighteen Hundred and Ninety- nine.
