Of Ms. d. 1717-18:Ja30. In Joseph's will, recorded Barnstable Co. prob. recds. 1717-18:Fe26 all of these children are mentioned. Also his wife and a John Matthews, his wife's son by her first marriage. Her maiden surname is not known. In Freeman;s "Cape Cod" Joseph is referred to as a "freeman of Yarmouth" and he is recorded as taxed tow pounds fourteen shillings in 1676 "towards the charge of the late war".
