The earliest record of Elisabeth as she was known , is found in the records of t he Christ Lutheran Church on Bieber Cre ek, Berks County, Pennsylvania, known as the "Mertz" Church. In 1759 s he served as sponsor to the christening of two ch ildren of Jacob an d Elisabetha Stirner. On April 14, 1765 and August 30, 1766, Maria E lizabetha Quierin served as sponsor when her nieces Catherina Mertz an d Maria Elisabetha Mertz were baptized at the Mertz Church. On the b aptismal re cord of Johan Jacob Vogee in the Mertz Church on August 10 , 1766, Jacob Humber t and Elisabeth Quiertin were listed as sponsors . In 1768, her hsuband Jacob H umbert purchased land at Monacacy, i n Frederick County, Maryland. His family a ttended the Evangelical Lu theran Church at Monacacy. By 1781 they were members of the Evangeli cal Lutheran Church of Frederick, in Frederick County. On Augu st 31 , 1781, Fridrich Nenner, a 26-year old from Bobenhausen, who came wit h the troops of the Burgundian Convention, died at Jacob Humbert's ho me of a feverou s disease. Jacob Humbert received a payment of 5 lbs , 11 shillings from the We stern Treasurer on October 23, 1782. On J une 8, 1783, Jacob Humbert witnessed the wedding of Adam Schindler t o Christina Query, sister of his wife Maria in the Lutheran Church a t Frederick. He did the same on April 16, 1786 for the we dding of He inrich Query, brother of Elisabeth, to Anna Maria Stroever. Elisabe t h Humbert is listed in the will of "Nicholas Quary", probated Decembe r 15, 178 8 in Montgomery County, Maryland.
