B y 1809 Solomon had moved from Montgomery County, Maryland to Hardin Co unty, Kentucky where he was counted for a poll tax and was listed a s a head of household, but not owning any property. By 1810 he had ac cumulated a horse, and in 1811 he married Elizabeth Grass. In 1814 th e parents of Elizabeth deeded some land to him . In 1833, Solomon an d Elizabeth sold the land and moved to Bartholomew County , Indiana wh ere they visited Solomon's sister Sarah and brother-in-law John Woods . Visits continued into 1834. On December 6, 1834, Bartholomew Count y Indiana recorded a purchase of land by Solomon Query. He remained i n Rush County until his death in 1863. He is buried at Flat Rock Towns hip, Bartholomew County, in a small cemetery known as the Cox-Spaug h Cemetery.
