"Joseph Homberg Dies in Hospital; Rites Wednesday
Joseph Homberg, 81, of Power, died at a local hopspial Saturday evening following a lingering illness. Funeral services will be held from the O'Connor funeral chapel at 9:45 Wednesday morning and at Our Lady of Lourdes church at 10, when holy mass will be celebrated. Burial will be in the Mount Olivet cemetery.
Born May 11, 1864 at Meyers Grove, Minn., Homberg came to Montana in 1912 and operated a ranch nine miles northwest of Powers since that time.
Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Mary Homberg, two sons, J.C. Homberg Jr. of Power and E.L. Homberg of Great Falls; five daughters, Mrs. Sam Stanger, Mrs. Charles Stahlecker and Mrs. Alvina Bailey, all of Great Falls, Mrs. Rose Koch of San Francisco and Mrs. A. Wardinsky of Los Angeles; two sisters, Mrs. Andrew Barthle of Groton, S.D. and Mrs. Anna Terharr of Mount Angel, Ore., three brothers, Casper, John and Peter Homberg, all residing in Minnesota; 15 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. "
