Jame's "the carpenter", previously referred to as "the farmer", will was filed 12 July 1717 in New Castle County, Delaware, (book C, VolI, page 103), naming wife Mary, father-in-law John Steele yeoman of New Castle, Delaware, brother Francis Alexander "the weaver" of Cecil County, Maryland, and sons John, Joseph and Francis. A Samuel Alexander, most likely Jame's father was witness to the will.
