Individual Details
(18 Mar 1687 - 5 Mar 1750)
Martin had numerous plantations including Hispaniola, Alexandria, Alexander's Lott, Bullen's Range, Warwick, Knowlwood, Ballenstynes Forest or Park Francina or the Three Sisters, Glasglow and Sligo. It is not known if these were all inherited from his father, or if he aquired some on his own. All were part of the historic territory of Bohemia Manor, one of the more interesting manors in America. Martin Alexander died between March 5, 1750 and August 16, 1751, on which date his will was probated. The will names his wife, Susannah Foster, and sister Mary Lowey and the following children: David, James (a minor), Amos, Moses, Eli, James, Josiah (a minor), Aaron, Rebecca and Sarah Alexander. Wills: Cecil Co., 28:156. (Copy On Hand)
