R.A. TOMLINSON WAS A VICTIM OF PNEUMONIA
Identified With Widely Known Family of Westfield Community
EIGHTY-TWO YEARS OF AGE
Services to Be Held in Westfield Friday Morning
Robert A. Tomlinson, aged eighty-two and identified with one of the most prminent families in the western part of Hamilton county, died at the Hamilton County hospital at 10 o'clock Tuesday night of pneumonia, after being a patient in the institution only a few hours. He lived with Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hammack in Sheridan. Taken ill a few days ago his condition did

not become serious, it is said, until Tuesday, and he was brought to the hospital at 5 o'clock that afternoon.
The funeral will be held in the Friends church in Westfield at 10 o'clock Friday morning, with Rev. James A. Parr in charge of the services, and the interment will take place in the Chester cemetery, north of Westfield on the Range Line road, which is located near the old Tomlinson homestead. The McMullan Funeral Home of Westfield, has charge of the funeral arrangements.
The deceased is survived by two brothers, Asher Tomlinson, of Westfield, and Finley Tomlinson, of Pendleton. The wife who, before her marriage, was Miss Julia Inman, died in 1928. There were five children born to this union but none of them attained their majority.
Mr. Tomlinson was born September 15, 1855, being a son of Noah Tomlinson, one of the pioneer residents of the Westfield community. The entire family were members of the Friends church, active in community affairs and one of the most widely known and esteemed families in Washington township. They supported their church, encourage schools and in other ways were substantial residents of the community.
The deceased spent all of his life in that community but some time after the death of his wife and his health began to fail he went to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Hammack to live.
Friends may call at the McMullan funeral home at any time until the hour for the services.
