Mrs. Mary A. Shea, widow of John A. Shea, died at her residence, 2 Church lane, Friday night at the age of 74. She had been a resident of Bangor for 70 years and was a life-long member of St. John's parish. She was a person of excellent character and a kind and generous neighbor. She leaves a daughter, Mrs. Sarah Bartlett; a son, Samuel Shea of Bangor, and a sister, Mrs. Thomas Wakeley, also of Bangor. The funeral will be announced later.Funeral Notice
The funeral services of Mrs. Mary A. Shea were held Monday morning in St. John's Catholic church at 9 o'clock, Rev. Thomas Moriarty officiated. The bearers were T. George Sheehan, Edward Feeney, William Wakely, John H. Shea, T. Francis Shea, and Jeremiah Shea. There was a large attendance of relatives and friends. The interment was in the family lot in Mount Pleasant cemetery.Endnotes
