The death of John Shea, a well known resident, occurred Friday night at his home; Church lane, after a brief illness. Besides his wife, he is survived by a son and daughter, John S. Shea and Mrs. Orrin Bartlett, both of Bangor; two brothers and two sisters, Daniel of Old Town, Thomas of Bangor, Miss M. F. Shea and Mrs. John Sheehan of Bangor. The time of the funeral will be announced.Funeral Notice
Many friends attended the funeral services of John A. Shea, held in St. John's church, at 9 o'clock, Monday morning. Rev. M. F. Drain officiated and the bearers were Thomas J. Shea of Bangor, Daniel Shea of Great Works, John Sheehan, John Logan, Thomas Fitzgerald and James Fitzgerald. Interment was in Mount Pleasant cemetery.Endnotes
