J. Samuel Shea of 51 Maple street, Bangor, passed away suddenly at about 6 p. m. on Thursday while returning from a motor trip to his camp in Eddington in company with his sister, Mrs. Sadie M. Bartlett, and her son. The car had reached Newbury street in this city when Mr. Shea, who was occupying the rear set was heard to gasp. Upon investigation it was found that he was dead. Dr. C. J. Taylor, county medical examiner, was called and he pronounced death due to natural causes. Mr. Shea was employed for many years as a lumber surveyor at Morse & Co's plant and had also been in the employ of the Guilford Lumber Co. and for a time with the Besse System store. He was about 70 years of age, unmarried, and lived with his sister, Mrs. Bartlett. He is also survived by a nephew, John Bartlett. The funeral will be held at 8 o'clock Saturday morning in St. John's Catholic church. He had a wide acquaintance and many friends will deplore his passing.Endnotes
