On July 2, 1719 Thomas' livestock earmark was recorded in Stonington, New London, Connecticut. In July 1720 he signed a letter to the General Assembly giving testimony concerning the head of the Pawcatuck River in the controversy between Rhode Island and Connecticut on the boundary. He became a freeman in Stonington on June 23, 1723.

He is said to have practiced medicine in Norwich over 40 years. His will was signed by mark 4 Sep 1759, and proved 6 Dec, Probate #11828, Norwich. Will names wife Sarah; daughter Sarah, wife of Samuel Crandol; daughter Bathsheba wife of Silas; personal property to be divided equally among Thomas and the three living daughters; residue to Thomas.
