Samuel Paine served as selectman at Eastham and was a lieutenant in the milita. In 1712, he was "cut down by ye fever." Administration of the estate of Samuel Paine, late of Eatham, was granted to widow Patience Paine on 27 January 1712. The inventory, taken 23 January 1712, mentioned apparel of a daughter lately deceased. Settlement on 29 January 1717 was to the widow and the following children: Ebenezer, Joshua, Isaac, Seth, Mercy, and Mary.
